Soil Day Workshop

Age: 5-10 (older primary children are also welcome)

In this creative workshop, children will explore what Soil Day means to them and why healthy soil is important for our planet. Through mixed-media art techniques, they’ll discover ideas around nature and the role of soil in growing plants and supporting life. Using oil pastels, and paper collage, they’ll express their thoughts about caring for the environment in colourful and imaginative ways. The teacher will demonstrate how to combine materials to design a soil-themed poster, while each child is encouraged to develop their own vision. By the end of the session, everyone will create an artwork with a personal meaning about soil and nature.
